I hope today finds you well. I actually stumbled here by the need to find the meaning of a T-Shirt slogan "Freedom of expression, go to hell."
So here I am. I guess I found the meaning, but as coincidence would have it; I am somewhat of vocal Anti-Theist, Anti-Polytheist, Atheist, Skeptic of UFOs, The Supernatural, Prophecy,Fortune Telling, Chiropractic and the like. (There is a joke in there...)
So, if I may address this post as a Anti-Theist rather than perhaps the rhetoric you get from other Theists...we do not all speak that way or use those terms.
Those that view these problems as issues with humanity, rather than as issues with which the labels you use illustrate are no more than doublespeak partisan media labels is some cases, blatant fear mongering in others.

I am assuming that you mean verbally in all your examples but Terrorism. Otherwise we call it "assault" of varying degrees depending on severity. Anyway, that is what I am going with...
You must not be from the Southern or Midwestern United States. I am from Oklahoma and we have a great deal of people who fear foreigners of any type, especially with Dark, Brown, Red or Yellow skin. White is fine. It's not just Black. That being said, Racism is the name of the disease, they use that word to avoid the mentioning of how children were taught it was OK to hate strangers from a strange land. Racism must be taught. Babies are not born with hating people. From their environment and from in most cases here, Leviticus. Moses and the little chapter of hate, reported to be dictated by the God of Abraham (who must have really bad handwriting or something) called Leviticus. There are others, but rarely does one need to look beyond that particular book to see the harm christianity does. Plus shrimp and lobster are delicious, and I would never eat a barley cake made of human feces. Leviticus allows christians to be misogynists, bigots, homophobes,prejudiced, to own slaves, to marry children, to rape women, to stone women for not being virgins, burn them for magic(lol), punish those that wear cotton/wool/syntheitic fibers for clothing, shun women and other bronze and iron age traditions as effective and meaningful as bleeding with leeches when sick or rolling bones in chicken blood to tell the future.
I will come back to this, but we Atheists generally refer to Racism as "Indoctrination into religion at a young age and/or lack of education or knowledge."

What is funny on this one is the book specifically leaves out women or lesbians. But we also refer to that one as: "Indoctrination into religion at a young age and/or lack of education or knowledge."

This is a form of violence. In this day and age the Monopoly of Violence is held by governments. Therefore one mans Rebel or Freedom Fighter is another mans Terrorist. I myself have never been afraid, so the word is powerless with me. I suppose this really doesn't fit. Lets move on.

Ahhh, my favorite topic to discuss. Here is the source of bigotry, misogyny, prejudiced, weird dogma and intolerance. Bronze age morality and myth. As you may have anticipated, I am not much welcome in the topics of christianity..and specifically the crimes of catholicism on little children...I despise hypocrisy, so I make sure to point it out every chance I have.
Technically hate speech is when you motivate the mob to take violent action against a certain race, sex, creed or religion. It could be financial or other forms of crime on the group, not just violence. They started labeling things hate crimes back in the50-60s due to white people starting to allow black and brown people to vote and then later desegregation of schools.
So it is kind of a fine line to walk here, and extremism from either side must not be given any credibility at all on this subject.
Christians often mistake my comments on their religion as hate speech, but I cause no harm with it; I am pointing out the harm their teachings cause the world around us. Surely if their god existed, and was as powerful, all-knowing and omnipotent as written by the jews so long ago, then he has no need of human intervention and can smite me on his own. But the need to restrict the rights that others enjoy to another group of people because you do not think the way they do, and due to illogical reasoning and fallacious arguments is pure evil. (I mean that in a human ethics way, not in the hocus pocus way)

Here is where you and I might have issues with one another. I tell evangelical christians all the time that based on their mythological writings, jesus would have been a Black Jewish man. This infuriates them and they just change the subject. They like the blue eyed white jesus. But if I say that to a black baptist, he is in agreement 100%. No if the ancient form of "Blasphemy" was still in effect; with 1890ish different sects of christianity; or as I like to call all religions of the god of Abraham; What kind of Jew are you? That also makes them mad. So I suppose, really I was offering an alternate answer to your assumption in your post; but now I am left with a question I would like to ask, if I may.
I bust the chops of everyone anti-science, pro-supernatural/superstitious. They get mad, but maybe one of them will not contribute to the tithe that week because I made a pedophilia statement on the church. So I do so when every I see a "Like" or "Honk" if you love Jesus come across my screen. What makes your religion any different than judaism, scientology, hindu, druidism, hypnotism, christianity,or voodoo? Why is it out of line for me to make fun of something as long as I caused no harm. I propose to you that it is freedom of expression. It is your right to believe anything you want. It is my right to laugh and joke about anything I want. So if, by chance, your beliefs are not logical or practical to me why can I not laugh at you. I had a very bad haircut for a couple weeks back in 84. You would have laughed at me. Please respond and thanks for your time. ST
